At New Mount Zion Baptist Church every member is a minister, and is involved in a ministry. Our ministries include:
Education – Developing curriculum for biblical education programs and leading groups including Sunday school, bible study, and computer courses.
Bible Study – Small group studies are available for all age groups.
Men's Ministries – Men's senior social and spiritual programs including mentoring, outreach, fellowship, and Men's counseling.
Women's Ministries – Women's social and spiritual programs including bereavement, mentoring, fellowship, and Women's counseling.
Youth Ministry – Church programs for children including teen drop-in nights, family counseling, bible study, and summer/holiday day camps.
Senior Saints – Adult and senior social and spiritual programs including fellowship luncheons, book club, and family counseling.
Music Ministry – Praise and Worship through music. This ministry includes The Praise Team, Male Chorus, Womens Choir, Youth Choir, Children's Chior, Youth Orchestra and the Combined Mass Choir.
Fellowship Ministry - Consists of the Hospitality Committee, Nurses Guild, and Ushers. - The Hospitality Committee assists worship by welcoming New Members and guests, recording new members' information, and following-up with visitors. It is also the job of this committee to keep the hallways clear and quiet before and during services. Meetings: 2nd Monday of each month - 7:00 p.m.
- The Nurses Guild aids members of the congregation who may become sick during service. They also provide health screenings and health related information. Meetings: 4th Tuesday of each month - 6:00 p.m.
- Ushers assist worship by facilitating the orderly movement of the congregation into service and during collection of tithes and offerings. The ushers are comprised of three different age groups: - Junior Ushers Ages 6-12 Meetings: Wednesday before the 2nd & 4th Sundays - 6:30 pm - Youth Ushers Ages 13-17 Meetings: Saturday before the 2nd & 4th Sundays - 10:30 am - Adult Ushers Ages 18 and Up Meetings: Thursday before the 3rd Sunday - 7:00 pm
